Supporting Local Efforts to Address the Opioid Epidemic

The Opioid Prevention and Education Network at Michigan State University (OPEN-MSU) provides technical support and AmeriCorps VISTA members to local community organizations to increase their impact within their communities. We work for and with local organizations to provide resources toward the goals of opioid use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery.

OPEN-MSU does this by providing organizations, or host sites, with VISTA members who collaborate with host site staff to work on a proposed project over the course of one year. These projects can include anything from grant writing and fundraising to social media development and web design.
