Kathleen Oberst is the Director at the Institute for Health Policy (IHP) where she oversees the Institute’s activities. Kathleen has worked at IHP for nearly 20 years starting with the Quality Improvement unit and most recently as the Program Evaluation & Health Services Research unit lead. She has served as Principal Investigator on an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality funded project and directs several program evaluations for the State of Michigan. She is a Registered Nurse and holds undergraduate degrees in microbiology from the University of Michigan and nursing from Wayne State University. She obtained graduate degrees, MS and PhD, in epidemiology from Michigan State University.
Dr. Oberst has been involved with evaluations to determine impact(s) of enacted opioid-related policies.
